“We take our sustainability seriously and, as a result of our work, we have the opportunity to make a positive impact. This is important to us.”

Our key sustainability considerations are Charity, Code of Business Conduct, Colleagues and Data Protection.

Code of business conduct

Stonehaven and its directors and employees will in all business dealings:

  • Obey the law and ethical standards in all countries in which the company does business.
  • Treat all third parties (including clients, fellow employees, suppliers, investors, competitors, government and regulatory bodies) fairly and honestly.
  • Not accept or offer bribes or other inducements.
  • Comply with relevant competition legislation.
  • Not make political contributions on behalf of the Company.
  • Seek to avoid conflicts of interest between an employee and the Company.
  • Respect confidentiality at all times.
  • Honestly present themselves and not make false or exaggerated claims.

Charity

Stonehaven is strongly committed to supporting good causes, particularly where these are education-related.

The Female Lead

The Female Lead project addresses, and begins the process of, helping to rectify the dearth of senior women that exists across sectors and professions in a positive and practical way. You can watch a video here. Stonehaven is supporting this important not-for-profit project on an ongoing basis.

Career Academies UK

The team worked with Career Academies UK, a national charity that links schools and colleges with employers to help prepare young people for the world of work

Young Mums Matter

We are currently working with Young Mums Matter, a charity that runs weekly workshops to support young mothers. These workshops provide vital support, which is so often lacking, and helps to raise their personal and educational aspirations.

Colleagues

We are a growing business and we need to be able to attract and retain colleagues to help us deliver our development plans. We offer a competitive remuneration and benefits package at all levels.

We are an equal opportunities employer; our policy is to recruit, develop, promote and retain skilled and motivated people regardless of disability, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status or age.

Data Protection

We process all personal data collected from potential candidates in compliance with all applicable laws, enactments, regulations, orders, standards and other similar instruments.

When we collect personal data from potential candidates, it provides the following information: identity of the data controller(s); the purposes for which their personal data will be processed; and any other information which is necessary having regard to the specific circumstances in which the data is, or is to be processed to enable processing in respect of the data subject to be fair. Stonehaven has the consent of the potential candidate to pass the candidate’s personal data to a particular organisation for the purposes of consideration for a potential vacancy and to enable said organisation to use the personal data for recruitment and employment/engagement purposes.

Furthermore, we will always take the appropriate technical and organisational measures against the unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data to ensure compliance with the seventh data protection principle.
